Project Overview

This creative collaboration with acclaimed photographer and multi-disciplinary artist, Adrian Octavius Walker, came in the wake of grief from tragedies like Breonna Taylor, Amhaud Arbery, and George Floyd. What began as a moment of personal reflection and healing through words became a prose poem commentary on Black coming of age.

Together, Adrian and I gathered 20+ photographers to submit original black-and-white works to supplement the prose poem and brought it all together as a video montage in a moment of collective healing and expression.
